I am fascinated with the human body and the resilience it has. I knew early in my academic career that I wanted to learn more about the mind body connection and the effect it has on the individual. I have dedicated over 15yrs to providing care across the lifespan to those afflicted with mental health concerns. I have worked in various settings where I have worked with individuals and their families to develop treatment plans that are collaborative and evidenced based.

Mental health to this day continues to carry a stigma, and those seeking help deserve compassionate care and dignity.

As a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I am an advocate for these individuals and want to continue the work others have started. I want to be part of the solution. At times, some of these mental health concerns hit close to home and I would want my family and friends to receive the most skilled and compassionate care.

Building rapport and instilling confidence and hope is at the core of my practice. This is obtained by collaborating with patients and their families to provide the most effective and safe treatment plan. I offer pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions that are evidenced based and tailored to the individual. There are 3 significant principles that guide my practice: people want to change, people are capable of change, and internal/external factors must be considered. I would not continue working in this field if I did not believe this. In time and with some shared work, individuals do overcome their mental health concerns.

NP Andrew and Dr. Amiri changed my life. I value the holistic approach that Dr. Amiri follows and practices. I value the knowledge, attention to detail, understanding, grit, passion and determination that Mr. Andrew has demonstrated in the time that I have known him. He is a blessing to my life and a blessing to this world.

Both Providers here are very knowledgeable about most recent developments and research in psychiatric treatment and implement it in their care plans which have been very successful. Knowledge will save the world.

To Mo the MA and the other MA (I am so sorry I forgot your name): May Allah grant you peace, may Allah bless you in this Dunyia and the hereafter. May Allah bless you with good health and prosperity, May Allah Reward you with Jannah Firdaus. Amin.

I appreciate the passion of patient care that this team at Modern Mind clinic brings to, not only Southfield, but all of Metro Detroit.

I have been meaning to make a review for a long time but what can I say, ADHD 😅😂.
